Article Writing Using An Alias
I first learned about using an alias when writing from reading Ben Franklins autobiography. I really had no idea how much Ben had actually written, but that one book ignited an intense curiousity in me about Ben, and he quickly became one of my all time favorite people from history.
His using an alias all started because his older brother was a publisher, and Ben was his apprentice. Ben knew that if his brother found out that something was written by Ben himself that it would be discarded without ever being read. So he wrote things in private, used a fictitious name, and left it where his brother would easily find it. I imagine another benefit that Ben quickly discovered was that he could find out what was being said about his topics without anyone ever having a clue it was he who had written it. Which is a great way to start out without having to become self conscious because the only one that knows its you is you.
I have not written very much up to this point, but I plan on following Ben's example, and maybe knowing this will help you in some way too.
By the way if you have never read, Ben Franklins, "Autobiography" check it out some time. He was an awesome man in many ways
